Dr. Dhruv Mehta
Dr Dhruv Mehta , a professor and former Head Neuro-physiotherapy at Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s School Of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai . He has conducted workshops on safe lifting and handling musculoskeletal care of care-givers in Cerebral Palsy at International Conference of Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Medicine and 7th Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy Conference, and at AIIMS ,New Delhi. He has authored an article ‘Neurorehabilitation a Multidisciplinary Approach’ in Indian Journal of Cerebral Palsy, Volume 1, Issue 1, June 2013.
In the 21 years of work he has trained therapists and worked at the Hospital to treat children with Cerebral Palsy, Poliomyelitis, Spina Bifida, Myopathies, and Childhood Developmental Conditions.
Prof. Gaur G Ray
Prof. Gaur G Ray is a Professor at Industrial Design Center, at IIT Bombay (Product Design & Ergonomics). Honorary Professor at School of Biomedical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Dr Ray has been invited a Keynote speaker at various Design, Biomedical and Ergonomics conferences all over the world. The Ergonomics Laboratory, of the Industrial Design Centre at IIT Bombay which was set-up by Prof G.G.Ray, has been recognized as the nodal distribution center in India by the International Ergonomics Association with effect from January, 1999. Prof G G Ray has co-authored multiple papers and Research publications in area of Healthcare, Ergonomics, Work environment ergonomics, Health care usability evaluation methods and Biomedical Instrumentation.
Prof. G GRay works extensively for children with Cerebral Palsy with sponsored projects at IDC, IIT and guides students for their projects on study and product designs for children with Cerebral Palsy. Gaur G Ray is currently working in the areas of ergonomics, workstation design, manual material handling, musculoskeletal disorders, automobile ergonomics and products for the physically challenged, including cerebral palsy.
Maya Nanavati
Maya Nanavati has more than 47 years of experience as an occupational therapist suffering the pediatric cases of Autism , ADHD , Cerebral Palsy , Dyslexia,Mental Retardation , Learning Disabilities and geriatric population suffering from Vertigo , Trauma , Neuro-Muscular issues etc. She is the founder trustee of POSAT Rehab Centre and Special Classes for Challenged Children since 1978.
She has been associated with many rehabilitation centers and departments in Mumbai to name a few Cerebral Palsy Unit of Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital , Sir H.N. Hospital, Asha-Daan Mother Teresa’s Home for Destitute , Shartul Foundation Sp. Classes for Challenged Children .
Ms. Nanavati has authored many chapters in several books on Rehabilitation Medicine , Cerebral Palsy, Brain & Psychology , Mental Retardation, Speech & Language , Schizophrenia and so on. She has been a part of various International and National Conferences.
Dr. Joseph Mukkadan
Dr. Joseph Mukkadan is the Founder ,Research Director of Little Flower Medical Research Centre (LFMRC), Angamaly & Professor Emeritus and Head of Doctoral Department of Physiology ,LIMSAR. He owns 35 years of research experience in the field of vestibular stimulation and its effects, Neuro physiology, Electrophysiology of Vision , Nutrition and the Visual Systems ,Micronutrients ,Nutrition & CVD, Developmental Neurophysiology and Medical Biotechnology .In his 30 years of teaching experience , he has spent more than 20 years guiding and teaching Research Scholars and PG students.
Dr. Mukkadan has been awarded with Dr. Subbarow Memorial National Award.He has more than 122 international and national research papers to his credit.He is an advisor and member of more than 20 research organizations in the country .
Dr. Suleman Merchant
Dr. Suleman Merchant has an extensive administrative experience in Policy Making, Hospital Planning & Operations,Patient Care, Teaching and Training. He has served Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & Lokmanya Tilak General Hospital, Mumbai ( Sion Hospital )as the DEAN and Head of Radiology & Imaging Department for 10 years. He has also served HBT Medical College as Dean and Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital, Juhu, Mumbai as Additional Incharge .He has been on the editorial board of several national journals and has more than 120 publications to his credit . He is the only Radiologist in the country on the SARCAR Committee of the Atomic Energyregulatory Board – AERB ( BARC ) for over 25 years.
Dr. Merchant is the Creator of the first community based program for suicide prevention in the world . He initiated a Specific training programme for Blue Whale Game Suicide Prevention. He also conducts voluntary free counseling for those who are in distress . His objective is to improve healthcare especially for the under privileged class of people in the country .
Lavanya Bhachwal
