Apang Kalyankari Shikshan Sanstha, based in Wanwadi, Pune, was founded in 1956 with the goal of rehabilitating orthopedically disabled children through medical reconstruction, education, pre-vocational training, and the provision of a safe home environment.
The institution now cares for 237 boys and girls. A primary school serves students in grades 1 through 7 on the same campus.
Apang Kalyankari Shikshan Sanstha also provides training and vocational programmes to those in need, such as tailoring, carpentry, and arts and crafts, so that they can take up simple jobs and generate an income. The institute’s fully equipped occupational and physiotherapy department provides free treatments to patients.
